Brigadier NWPSM Perera relinquished the appointment of Centre Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services on 12 November 2025. The ceremonial formalities began with a guard turnout followed by a wreath laying at the war memorial monument.
The outgoing Centre Commandant was accorded a glamorous parade followed by a group photograph. The itinerary of the day was followed by an officers' address, all ranks tea party and a troop address. All ranks of the Regimental Centre, CES offered their gratitude and greetings to the outgoing Center Commandant on his departure.
A farewell dinner in honor of the outgoing Centre Commandant, Brigadier NWPSM Perera, was held on 11 November 2025, at the Regimental Officers’ Mess, Corps of Engineer Services. The event was graced by the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, and other officers. The evening was filled with warm camaraderie and heartfelt gratitude, marking a dignified conclusion to his distinguished tenure as the 25th Centre Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services.
