The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services organized a compassionate visit to Sucharithodaya Children’s Home, Maharagama on Saturday, 11 October 2025, in celebration of ‘World Children’s Day’.
The initiative was carried out under the concept and guidance of Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, the President of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch, aiming to share love, happiness, and support with the children and elders of the home.
The program included morning tea, a lunch, fun games, and an entertainment session that brought smiles to the faces of the young participants. Gifts were presented to the children, and dry rations were donated to the home to support the daily needs of the home. The event catered to nearly 100 residents, including children, elders, and individuals with disabilities.
The event was graced by Mrs Anupama Rathnayake, the president of CES SVB and attended by Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara, Vice President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Dhananjani Hettiarachchi, senior members, members, and Officers of the Corps.
The visit was a heartfelt gesture reflecting the CES Seva Vanitha Branch’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility, kindness, and uplifting the lives of those in need.
