The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) extended a generous hand to the National Institute of Mental Health, Sri Lanka, through a compassionate donation to the Halfway Home, Mulleriyawa. This meaningful initiative was spearheaded under the guidance of Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, President of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch, along with the support of Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara, Vice President of the Branch.
Recognizing a pressing need within the facility, the Seva Vanitha Branch donated essential medical equipment including a stethoscope, a pressure meter, and a pulse oximeter, items identified as vital for the ongoing care and treatment of the residents. These contributions are expected to greatly assist the medical staff in delivering more effective healthcare to the patients.
In addition to the medical supplies, senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch also donated new clothing to the residents, bringing warmth and dignity to their daily lives. Furthermore, fancy items were presented to the patients, bringing visible joy and delight to their faces and adding a touch of festivity to the environment.
This act of kindness reflects the ongoing commitment of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch to support and uplift communities in need, demonstrating compassion in action and the power of collective goodwill.
