CENTRE COMMANDANT OF CORPS OF ENGINEER SERVICES VISIT TO 3 ENGINEER SERVICES REGIMENT, MINNERIYA

Brigadier NWPSM Perera, the Centre Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES), visited 3 Engineer Services Regiment (3 ESR) in Minneriya on 4th April 2025. The purpose of this visit was to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the unit’s administrative matters and to ensure the effective management of operations within the regiment.

Upon arrival, Brigadier Perera was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 3 ESR, Maj MPS Nadeeshan Lsc CES. In keeping with military traditions, the Centre Commandant was accorded a Guard Turnout, which was a fitting tribute to his visit.

Following the Guard Turnout, Brigadier Perera posed for a group photograph with the officers of 3 ESR, capturing a moment of unity and professionalism. As a symbolic gesture to mark his visit, he planted a sapling, further solidifying his connection with the unit and its enduring growth.

Before proceeding with the administrative inspection, the Centre Commandant conducted a camp visit to assess the operational conditions of the camp firsthand. During this visit, he gained valuable insights into the functioning of the regiment, observing the conditions under which the personnel serve.

Following the camp visit, the Centre Commandant joined with the staff officers of the Regimental Headquarters to continue with the Administrative Inspection. This session focused on reviewing administrative processes, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

The visit was an important opportunity for the Centre Commandant to engage directly with the personnel of 3 ESR, gaining a better understanding of their needs and ensuring that the regiment continues to maintain high standards in both administrative and operational matters.
