The 17 Engineer Services Regiment celebrated its 10th Anniversary on 11 November 2024.The anniversary day was consisted of a Guard turnout and a Ceremonial parade for the present Commanding Officer Lt Col EADP Edirisinghe Lsc followed by laying the foundation stone for the proposed Corporal’s club, planting of sapling and All-ranks lunch.
Simultaneously, in celebration of the Anniversary Day, number of religious and entertainment events was organized for the troops and civil servants. Bodhi Pooja and Dharma Deshana programme, providing a lunch and needful items for Methsevana Children’s Home, entertainment activities and obtaining blessings from the Church and Kovilwere among those remarkable events. Officers and other ranks belong to Garrison Engineer stations that spread over the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) area participated for these events.
