The 10th Annual General Meeting of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch was held at the RHQ SLASC Auditorium on 01 August 2020. The president of the SLASC Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Tharanga Priyadarshani presided the meeting. The meeting was held following all health rules and regulations with the participation of 52 Seva Vanitha members which is the maximum allowed number according to the prevailing health condition in the country. During the meeting new office bearers were appointed for the rest of the period to be continued. Accordingly following SLASC Seva Vanitha senior members were appointed through the proposals and secondments from the members themselves.

Mrs Tharanga Priyadarshani Kandanaarachchi assumed duties as the President of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) Seva Vanitha Unit on 17 June 2020 at a simple ceremony with religious activities. This function was held in the SLASC Regimental Centre at Panagoda.Several Officers and SLASC Seva Vanitha members were present at the occasion.

Colonel EMGA Ambanpola, on his arrival to the Regimental Centre was welcomed by Brig IP Kandanaarachchi. The newly appointed Centre Commandant took over duties at the auspicious time amidst religious blessing with the presence of many senior officers. Later, He attended for tree planting, a tea party with all ranks followed by a Troops address at the Conference Hall at RHQ SLASC.

He was honoured with a Guard of Honour by the troops of Regimental Centre SLASC premises at Panagoda. The newly appointed Centre Commandant took over duties at the auspicious time amidst religious blessing with the presence of senior officers. Later, He attended for tree planting, a tea party with all ranks followed by a Troops address at the Conference Hall at RHQ SLASC.

Colonel MIP Nanayakkarawasam took over office as the Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) after a brief religious observance at the Regimental Headquarters on Thursday 28th June 2018 following a ceremonial parade for the newly appointed Centre Commandant.
