ASC School, originally known as the Ceylon Army Service Corps driving school, was established in 1953 with the aim of training six other rankers using a single heavy vehicle at Kirulapona - Polhengoda Army Camp. The school expanded its offerings in 1956 by introducing a clerk course for Army soldiers at the same location, thus transforming into a professional trade school within the CASC. In 1962, the school was relocated to CASC Premises at Panagoda Cantonment. However, the driving training section was later moved to Ridiyagama Army Camp, where it remained until 1971. In 1984, the school was relocated to Panagoda Army camp, specifically at the present site of the Regiment Centre. The school operated there until 2 January 1988, when it was established at the Ranasewapura Camp under the North Central Command. Finally, in 1989, the SLASC Trade School was shifted to Tissawewa Army Camp, which is its current location. On 1 June 1995, the AHQ published a raising order officially renaming the school as the Army Service Corps School, with the change being effective from 1 January 1991.
