REGIMENTAL CENTRE - SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS

Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps was inaugurated on 1 January 1990. The Regimental Centre is the hub of the Service Corps that centrally facilitates all the Service Corps Battalions for a smooth administration process.

This organization is headed by the Regimental Centre Commandant who performs duties under the directions and guidance of Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps. The main responsibility of the Regimental Centre is to ensure proper existence of all administrative matters the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps in liaison with Army Headquarters such as distribution, posting of officers and Other Ranks to all Logistics installations and outside the Corps, promotion recommendation of officers, promotions of Other Ranks within the Corps, coordinate and conduct of all kinds of training for officers and Other Ranks, nominating personnel for UN peace keeping operations, coordinate all ceremonial matters, coordinate all financial matters, coordinate recruiting to the Corps and ensure all other administrative and logistics systems of the Corps functioned efficiently. For this purpose, the Regimental Centre is mainly divided into three branches - General Branch, Administrative Branch and Logistics Branch.
