Basic Disaster Response Training Course no – 09 and Junior Life Saving Course No – 12 were concluded with the closing remarks by Col BPGK Balasooriya RSP psc, Comd 582 Inf Bde on 11^th April 2021 at the Sri Lanka Army Centre for Disaster Response Training (SLACDRT) Gampola. 02 x Offrs & 102 x ORs from 1st Gamunu Watch and 01 x Offr &32 x ORs from 5^th Vijayaba Infantry Regiment attended for Basic Disaster Response Training Course No - 09. O/69453 Capt LWPD Weerasooriya GW awarded as the best overall performer of Basic Disaster Response Training Course no 09.

Junior Life Saving Course no - 12 was started on 15^th February 2021 with 21 x ORs. S/426991 Cpl Kumarasiri KDR awarded as the best Student of Junior Life Saving Course no - 12. S/2100860 Pte Peris awarded as the Best Swimmer of the Course.
