The Centre for Army Disaster Response Training was inaugurated hastily due to the impending requirement of the nation and a modest consideration was given to its organizational structure. However, the Officiating Commandant Lieutenant Colonel KPSA Amarakoon RSP recognized the requirement of a comprehensive organizational structure, in order to meet the vision and the mission of the Centre. Hence, the Commandant and the Staff had prepared a proposal and was forwarded to the Army Headquarters. Thereafter, as per the instructions of the Commander of the Army, a review conference was held to discuss the proposed organization for the Centre for Army Disaster Response Training. The conference was held with the participation of The President and the other members of 8th Army Establishment Board including Comd ARTRAC, DG Trg / Dir Trg, Dir SD, Col Trg (Local) and Comdt CDRT. After a detailed evaluation of the proposal, an organization comprises of 17 Officers and 129 Other Ranks was approved and published on 02 July 2019 by the Army Headquarters.
