The Sri Lanka Army Centre for Disaster Response Training (SLACDRT) has started 05th course of Basic Disaster Response Course on 07 January 2020 for 5 x 170 participants. The Course is scheduled to be terminating on 02 March 2020.
According to direction of the Commander of the Army Lt Gen L H S C Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Sri Lanka Army Centre for Disaster Response Training abided by duties and responsibilities to provide professional training to service personnel for afford humanitarian assistance during all disaster situations. Further, Sri Lanka Army is planned to establish dedicated organization to respond for disaster situation under 53 & 58 Infantry Divisions. Hence, SLACDRT planned to train 02 Infantry Battalions within this year to respond disaster situation. Basic Disaster Response Course No 05 is a successive step of the setout pursuing objectives.
