An awareness programme conducted for the drivers and staff of Motor Transport Section of SFHQ Central and under command units in the AOR. The workshop was held on 5th and 6th February 2025 at the Headquarters of SFHQ central with the direction of Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc, the Commander of Security Forces (Central).
The objective of this programme was to develop the efficiency of Army drivers and Motor Transport staff, whiles improving positive attitudes and positive thinking. This training session was conducted with the lecture assistance from Sri Lanka Police - Bandarawela, Divisional Secretariat Office-Haputhale,7th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police,8 Sri Lanka Service Corps, 2(v) Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Army Base Hospital Diyatalawa. There were 10 Officers and 85 Other Ranks participated for this session.
The lectures were covering, motor traffic rules and regulations and other related matters. During the workshop drivers were educated on rules and regulations of motor traffic, consequences of depraved driving habits, defensive driving, self discipline while driving vehicles, how to perform their duties enthusiastically and value of their role, how to maintaining vehicle, and finding mechanical faults. The lectures were highly appreciated by the participants.
