PRELIMINARY VISIT TO MATTALA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

In collaboration with Indian Army the annual Combined Training Exercise “Mitra Shakthi X” is scheduled to be held from 12 August 2024 to 25 August 2024 at Army Training School at Maduruoya with participation of members of Armed Forces of Sri Lanka and India.

Accordingly, a group of Sri Lanka Army delegation which included Major General SWB Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc, Director General Infantry, Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, GOC 12 Infantry Division and deputy Exercise Director of “Mitra Shakthi X”, Brigadier SWR Prassanna RWP RSP USP, Director Movement, Brigadier WMSN Wijekoon AATO, Logistic Commander SF East and Logistic Commander for the exercise and senior officers made a preliminary visit to Mattala International Airport – Hambantota and met the airport authority and discussed matters related to arrival and welcome of Indian Armed force delegation who will be arriving on 12 August 2024
