TROOPS FROM 12 INFANTRY DIVISION COMPLETE SHRINE ROOM CONSTRUCTION AT UDAMULLA MAHA VIDYALAYA

Troops of the 12 Infantry Division successfully completed the construction of a long-awaited shrine room at Udamulla Maha Vidyalaya in Hambanthota. Major General C.S. Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, placed a new statue of Lord Buddha in the newly built shrine room on 23 May 2024.

The construction project, which commenced a few months ago, was executed through the dedicated efforts of the 12 Infantry Division troops. Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the event.
