TROOPS PROVIDE RELIEF TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY LANDSLIDES IN POONAGALA

During the adverse weather condition reported in Uva Province, a number of 220 residents were affected and 62 houses were completely damaged due to landslide at the Kambaragala Estate in Poonagala, Bandarawela on Sunday, 19 March 2023. On the directions of Major General Mohan Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander Security Force (Central), troops quickly responded to the emergency situation and made initiatives to provide immediate relief to those affected.
