On the occasion of the 13th Anniversary of 11 Infantry Division, troops in Kandy organized a series of events and program with the guidance of Major General Rohitha Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division.
The General Officer Commanding and all ranks offered milk alms to the Sacred Temple of Tooth in Kandy and received blessings and invoked merits on fallen war heroes and, on 14 February 2023. The Anniversary day’s proceedings began with a colorful Guard Turnout at the entrance and a ceremonial parade in honour of the General Officer Commanding. Afterwards, the General Officer Commanding addressed the troops and contributed to the distribution of dry rations to the value of Rs. 55,000.00 to the ‘Biso Menike Dambawinna Elders' Home at Theldeniya, Kandy. Finally, the troops participated in an All Rank lunch.
