A farewell was hosted in honour of Genaral Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, Major General Lanka Amarapala on 06 October 2022 at the Headquarters 12 Infantry Division in Hambantota.
On his arrival at the Division headquarters premises, the Colonel General Staff, Colonel IP Jayasinghe, welcomed the Chief Guest and invited him to review the Guard Turnout and the Guard of Honour parade, presented by the 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops in accordance with military traditions. The farewell programme followed by a group photograph, a troop address, an all ranks tea arrangement held at the division Headquarters with the participation of outgoing General Officer Commanding, 121 & 122 Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers, Commanding Officers and ORS of 12 Infantry Division.
