As per the instructions given by AHQ, a series of programmes in connection with the World Childrens day were held by SFHQ (Cen) on 30 Sep 2022 under the supervision of the SF Comd.
A distribution of stationary school items was organised for the children of Viru Kekulu pre school along with a concert consisting of various entertainment items such as singing and dancing in order to bring out the talents of the children.
Furthermore, in the evening hours on 30 Sep, T shirts were donated to 18 children of Sri Sangabodhi Childrens Home with generous sponsorship by "Gayan Textiles Bandarawela" which was followed by a treat of pizzas sponsored by the Pizza Hut Bandarawela. These were coordinated by the Civil Coordinating Office of SFHQ (Cen)
These events were graced by the SF Comd Maj Gen MKS Silva along with his wife Mrs Saritha Lankathilaka.
