Responsive to the request of the General Officer Commending 12 Infantry Division, the ‘PIMA UAE’ Chapter and the Sri Lankan Community in the UAE sponsored the consignment of an urgently-required medical equipment to the Government Hospital in Monaragala on Saturday 30 July 2022.
Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding of 12 Infantry Division symbolically handed over the consignment of those medical accessories and equipment to the Hospital Director, Dr RMD Rathnayake.
Those accessories were urgently required in order to uplift health facilities of the people in Monaragala Accordingly, those UAE-based donors at a very short notice came forward to offer this assistance at the request of the 12 Division’s General Officer Commanding Major General Lanka Amarapala.
Commander 121 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Udaya Serasinghe, Staff Officers and administrative officers at Monaragala Hospital were associated with the day’s handover of the consignment.
