In response to the request made by health sector, 12 Infantry Division of Security Force (Central) coordinated a consignment of indispensable medical equipment and essential medicine to General Hospital - Hambanthota on Tuesday, 12 July 2022.
At a short notice, The PIMA UAE Chapter and Sri Lankan donors based in UAE sponsored the delivery of urgently-required medical equipment and medicine to uplift the health facilities of the people residing in Hambanthota area. Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division symbolically handed over the medical consignment to the Director of General Hospital – Hambanthota. Senior Army Officers and Administrative Officers of General Hospital witnessed the handover of medical equipment.
