Security Force Headquarters (Central)commemorated its 9th anniversary on 14 March 2022 at the newly established premises in Diyathalawa. In concurrence with the anniversary,a series of events were conducted including cricket, elle and volleyball tournament. ABodhipooja was conducted at Bodhikanda Temple premises and an almsgiving was conducted with presence of all ranks.
Giving prominence to the military formalities, a guard turnout and guard of honour was accorded by the troops of 20 SLSR to the Commander SF Central Major General MKS Silva RWP RSP ndu.
Later on, the Commander addressed all ranks followed by tree planting ceremony. Subsequently, a musical show was conducted at Muthukumaru ground with a view of uplifting theteam spirit, comradeship and positive attitudes among the staff members in the HQ.In thisglamorous occasion Commander presented awards for the winners of cricket, elle and volleyball tournaments. The event was concluded with all ranks lunch at Muthukumaru grounds.
