Major General H P N K Jayapathirane RSP, Commander Security Forces (Central) made his first field visit to 11 Infantry Division and its under command battalions on 11 and 12 November 2020 after assuming the office as the Commander Security Forces (Central).
The visiting Commander was warmly welcomed by Major General S M S P B Samarakoon RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of 11Infantry Division and also briefed about the deployment of its brigades and battalions during the visit. Afterwards, the Commander visited 3 Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment and 19 Sri Lanka National Guards and the Commanding Officers of the mentioned battalions welcomed and briefed on their role and tasks as the under command formations.
In addition, Laxapana Hydro Power Station, Kothmale Dam, Angunuwelpelessa Ammunition Depot and the construction site of the Army hospital in Pallekele were also observed by the Commander SF (Cen) during his visit.
Further, the Brigade Commanders, respective Commanding Officers as well as senior officers of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) also joined this visit.
