TROOPS ENGAGE IN SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS

Personnel who trapped inside the earth mounds after a landslide caused a building to fall onto a house were recovered by the troops on 20 September 2020 in Buwelikada, Kandy. Under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central) Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP and the supervision of the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Brigadier S M S P B Samarakoon RWP RSP, troops of 2 Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment, 10 Gajaba Regiment and Sri Lanka Rifle Corps quickly responded and launched the search and rescue missions.
