Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP, Commander Security Forces (Central) made his first official visit to the 3 Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment which is under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 29 June 2020 after the assumption of duties as the Commander, Security Forces (Central). The General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Major General W M J R K Senarathne RWP RSP, Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade, Brigadier E A P Ediriweera RWP and few more Officers also participated in this visit.
The visiting Commander was warmly welcomed by Major W A M Ranathilake, Commanding Officer of the Unit and other Officers. After the troop address, the Commander joined the tea party which was arranged at the Officers’ mess. Moreover, SF Commander signed the Visitors’ Book marking the first official visit to the Unit.
In addition, the Commander visited the A Company of 3 SLSR which is deployed at the transmission centre located on the top of the Piduruthalagala mountain and worshipped the temple on the mountain as well.
