ENGINEERS TROOPS IMPROVED A WARD IN KANDY HOSPITAL FOR COVID -19 TREATMENTS

Troops of 17 Engineers Services improved the facilities in the ward 36 in General Hospital, Kandy as an Intermediate ICU in order to treat the patients of Covid-19. On 10 May 2020 around 1000 hours this renovated Unit was handed over to the Director of the hospital. The Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP also participated in the inauguration ceremony along with General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Senior Officers and Officers. Under the supervision of the Commanding Officer and two other Officers of 17 Engineer Services, fifteen personnel of the same unit completed the constructions within a short time period.
