A Special Presidential Task Force was appointed with the objective of ensuring the health security of military personnel and military establishments in the island, specially to control the Covid-19 pandemic. This was leading by the Western Province Governor Marshal of the Air Force W D N J Roshan Goonetileke RWP VSV USP psc in collaboration with Retired Military Heads as well as Medical Experts.
Accordingly, an observational tour was made to the quarantine centers in 12 Division, 122 Brigade, 3 Sri Lanka National Guards and Youth Corps in Lunugamvehera by Western Province Governor Marshal of the Air Force W D N J Roshan Goonetileke RWP VSV USP psc along with Medical Experts. Further, the Commander Security Forces (Central), General Officer Commanding of 12 Division, Brigade Commander of 122 Brigade and few more Senior Officers also joined this visit. After the visit, they discussed about the further measures which can be implemented to improve the health conditions inside the camps.
