Major General W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu assumed duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11 Division which is under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time scheduled at 0932 on 09 July 2019.
Moreover, a parade and Guard of Honour were also awarded by the troops of 2(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and new GOC planted a tree sapling at the camp premises to mark this special day. Afterwards, he addressed the all ranks of 11 Division and its under command Brigades, Units and Training Schools. Following that an All Ranks Tea Party was also taken place.
