The wildfire occurred in Kaluambathenna area on 10 June 2019 was extinguished by the troops of Security Force Headquarters (Central) on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of Security Forces (Central).
Just after the incident was reported, a team consisting of one officer and twenty one soldiers rushed to the place and due to the prompt actions taken by the troops, the wild fire which was spreading in the area was completely doused within a short period.
