Troops under command to 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) conducted a shramadana campaign at Gangarama Viharaya, Lewella in the Kandy District on 28 July 2018.
Responding to a request made by the chief incumbent of the temple from the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG, 02 officers and 25 soldiers contributed to remove the moss grown on the branches of the Bo tree and certain unwanted branches were also removed. The chief incumbent of the temple extended the gratitude towards the military personnel for their active participation to complete the campaign successfully.
