2018 Golf Tournament of Defence Services was held on 07 and 08 May 2018 at Golf Club Ground in Nuwara Eliya. The Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. During the opening event Major General N A Darmarathne WWV RWP RSP ndu psc and Major General H J S Gunawardane RSP USP ndc psc represented the SL Army. Further, Senior Officers of SL Navy as well as Air Force also participated in this tournament.
Army female and male Golf players secured the Championship and the Runners-up slot respectively. Moreover, Lance Corporal Rathnayake R M A C of Sri Lanka Army Golf Women’s Team achieved the award of the best woman player.
