Security Forces Headquarters (Central) proudly celebrated the 4th anniversary on 14 March 2017. In celebration of the anniversary a series of programmes were launched with the participation and the directions of Major General PUS Vithanage RSP ndu, the Commander Security Forces (Central).
On 03 March 2017 the kids at Sirisangabo Orphanage, Bandarawela were offered the lunch in parallel with the programmes scheduled for the anniversary. The flags were taken to the Dalanda Maligawa to invoke blessings on 11 March 2017. In addition, on 14 March 2017 a Guard of Honour was awarded to the Commander by 18 Gemunu Watch at the Rendezvous Parade Ground. Afterwards the Commander planted a tree sapling at the camp premises to mark the 4th anniversary. Following that an all ranks group photograph was also taken.
The Commander, addressed the all ranks of the Headquarters and on the same day the Commander had lunch with them. The evening musical show which was held at the Muthukumaru ground added more glamour to the day’s event. Concluding the celebrations the Commander and other senior officers participated in a get together held at the Warrant Officers” and Sergeant Mess of Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 16 March 2017.
