The Army’s innovative initiative for the 21st century, ‘Central Innoveta’ was held at the Security Force Headquarters (Central) on the directions and under the guidance of Major General PUS Vithanage RSP ndu, Commander Security Forces (Central) on 09 November 2016 to display the skills of creative minds of the troops of under command formations of SF HQ (Cen).
The mega exhibition, ‘Innoveta’, which saw its birth as a conceptual notion of the Commander of the Army, has been designed to extract hidden creative talents of Army troops serving in island-wide SF HQs.
‘Central Innoveta’ with more than 25 exhibition stalls put up by soldiers of Divisions, Brigades and Units of the SF HQ (Central) continued till the evening on 09. Major General Upul Vithanage inaugurated the exhibition during a simple ceremony.
Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG, Commander, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Commander, 112 Brigade, Additional Government Agent (AGA), Zonal Educational Director (ZED), Diyatalawa, Dr Sisira Ediriweera, Department of Science and Technology and Dr E D N S Abeyratne, Department of Animal Science, Uva Wellassa University also attended the opening ceremony of the event.
