Troops of 7th Regiment of Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) under the Security Force Headquarters (Central) organized a Bodhi Pooja and at Bodhi Kanda Temple on 21 May 2016 to mark 'Vesak Poya' Day on the direction of the Commander Security Force (Central) Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc and under the guidance of the Commanding Officer 7 SLSC to transfer merits on fallen War Heroes and invoke blessings on Army personnel.
Ven. Ellewela Sobitha Thero, who was conducted to the temple in a colourful procession, delivered a Dhamma Sermon during the Bodhi Pooja programme.
Officers and other ranks of SF HQ (Central), its affiliated units and log units and Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) attended the Boodhi Pooja.
