CENTRAL-BASED ARMY COOKS IMPROVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE

On a concept of the Commander of the Army, a training programme for Army cooks which was designed to improve the professional knowledge on cookery, was conducted with the coordination of the Security Force Headquarters (Central) during 05 to 12 December 2015 at the Headquarters premises.

The training programme, headed by Chef Kapila Jayanetti of Aquinas University College was conducted in four phases by an expert panel of cooks and approximately 350 members from cookery fields representing the Under Command Divisions, Brigades, Training Schools and Units of SF HQ (Central), followed the course.

The programme consisted of a number of practical sessions including relevant theoretical sessions, which facilitated cooks to improve their knowledge on cookery upon successful completion of the course.
