WORKSHOP ON ‘IHL’ EDUCATES ARMY PERSONNEL

A workshop to educate Army personnel in all formations under the Security Force Headquarters – Central (SFHQ-Cen) on ‘International Humanitarian Law’ took place on Wednesday (31) at the Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) in Diyatalawa.

A total of 20 Army Officers participated in the workshop, including Commander, 112 Brigade, Brigadier M. W. A. A. Wijesuriya and Commander 121 Brigade, Brigadier N. C Somaweera. Mr Jacques Lemay, Regional and Security Forces Delegator of the Red Cross, Mr Channa Jayawardana, Communication Officer of the Red Cross delivered the lectures.
