WOMEN SOLDIERS TAKE PART IN MILITARY KNOWLEDGE REFRESHER COURSE

The women soldiers serving at Security Force Headquarters Central and its under command formations underwent a military training refresher course organized by Security Force Headquarters Central from 13 November to 25 November 2023. Effectual refresher course was designed as per the guidance of the Commander Security Force Central, Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, to provide equal training opportunities for the women soldiers serving in the organization.

A number of 48 female soldiers representing the reserve platoon of security force headquarters and the attachments at 11 & 12 Infantry Divisions took part in the refresher training program.

With the initial address done by Colonel WAJ Hemachandra RWP psc Colonel General Staff, the two-weeks refresher course was held at the Battalion Training School at Kahagolla, and the course participants were refreshed their knowledge on basic military tactics, internal-security duties, army procedures, use of social media, leadership, and personal development. A body of professional training instructors at the training schook disciplined the women soldiers, and few senior staff officers enlightened them with military customs and etiquettes. Besides the theoretical phase, the women soldiers engaged in live firing and first aid training.

The closing address delivered by Brigadier AMA Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc on 25 November 2023, marked the end of another successful training program organized by the Training Section of Security Force Headquarters (Central).
