Troops Do Community Services at Kirinda

The ancient Krinda Rajamaha Vihara premises was thoroughly cleaned by troops of the 23 Gajaba Regiment under command to the 122 Brigade of the 12 Division under the Security Forces - Central in a 'Sharmadana' campaign during 15 -22 July in Kirinda.

During this programme, troops cleaned the coastal belt along the Kririnda beach and the entire temple compound.

Major General Prasanna Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division and the 122 Brigade Commander gave necessary directions and instructions to the Commanding Officer of the 23 Gajaba Regiment to go ahead with the project.
