A sudden fire occurred in Halpe area in the Badulla District around 1900 hours on 23 June 2018. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) and the troops of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) controlled the fire on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.
A team consisting of one officer and fifteen soldiers rushed to the place just after the incident was reported to this Headquarters. Consequent to the prompt actions taken by the troops, the wild fire which was spreading in the area was completely doused within a short period.
