A sudden fire occurred in Dowa , Bandarawela Divisional Secretariat of Badulla District in the morning on 21 June 2018. The said area is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central).The troops of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) reacted and controlled the fire on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.
A team consisted with one officer and fifteen soldiers have rushed to the place and assist the civil authorities. Consequent to the prompt actions taken by the troops, the wild fire which was spreading in the area was completely doused within a short period. The reason for the fire has not been revealed yet.
