TROOPS CONSTRUCTED NEW HOUSE FOR NEEDY FAMILY AT SELLA KATARAGAMA

In line with 75 Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 3rd Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the 122 Infantry Brigade in the 12 Infantry Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Central constructed a new house for a needy family at Sella Kataragama with Army coordinated sponsorship and vested it to the beneficiary family on 06 August 2024.

Accordingly, donor Mr. Hirosh Jayathilake and family, through the army coordination, volunteered to provide monetary assistance to purchase required raw material and resource for the project. Similarly, 3 SLNG troops lent their technical expertise and manpower to the project under the supervision of Commanding Officer of 3 SLNG

For the formal warming ceremony of hand over house to the needy family on 06 August 2024, Major General BKGML Rodrigo RSP psc IG, Commander of Security Force (Central) graced the occasion as the chief guest together with General Officer Commanding Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc 12 Infantry Division, and Mr. Hirosh Jayathilake. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, members of donor family and relatives of beneficiary family participated in the event.
