TROOPS CONDUCTED A SHRAMADANA IN NALLATHANNIYA.

The pilgrimage season of Sri Pada was commenced on the auspicious time at the dawn of Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day. The pilgrims from various areas visit the most sacred temple and the Nallathanniya road is polluted with the litter they have dropped. Therefore, aiming to clean the area the troops under command to Security Forces (Central) conducted a shramadana campaign along the Nallatanniya road on 23 January 2020 under the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu.

With the participation of more than 200 officers as well as soldiers from under command Divisions, Brigades, Units and Training Schools of SF (Central) this cleaning programme was conducted in order to arrange the surrounding more eye catching for the devotees as well as the foreigners.
