TROOPS CLEANED THE COASTAL AREA OF KIRINDA

The coastal line of Kirinda in Hambanthota was cleaned on 29 December 2019 by the troops of 121 and 122 Brigades which are under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) in accordance with a concept of the HE the President as well as the directions of the Commander of the Army.

As a result of the carelessness of the visitors who come to feel the beauty of this coastal area, the beach has lost its beauty. Therefore, with the intention of cleaning the beach, more than 300 military personnel provided labour assistance to clean 10km of coastal area under the supervision of the Commander Security Force (Central). Moreover the General Officer Commanding of 12 Division, Brigade Commanders of 121 and 122 Brigades and the Commanding Officers of the under command units also participated in this programme.
