11 Division of Security Forces (Central) along with its under command formations are engaged in the process of controlling the Covid – 19 epidemic in Kandy, Matale, NuwaraEliya and Badulla Districts. Since the troops of these military establishments directly involve in the activities of quarantine process, they should follow up all the precautions. Consequently, for the safety of them, 30 face covers have been donated to 11 Division on 24 April 2020 by the SenkadagalaSinghe Club.
Symbolizing this event, first face cover was donated to the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Major General W G H A S BandaraRWP RSP. Further, the key organizer of this donation, Doctor AselaRathnayake of Sport Medicine Unit in Kandy National Hospital emphasized that these face covers have been made from a special plastic material which is also a timely product for the safety of soldiers who directly involve in the quarantine process.
