Fulfilling yet another beautification as well as a dengue prevention project in Bandarawela town, a sharmadana campaign was launched with the participation of the workers of government and non government organizations workers on 28 July 2018.
The troops contributed this campaign under the aegis of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG on a request made by the Mayor of Bandarawela Municipal Council. Accordingly, 1 officer and 50 other ranks belonging to Security Forces Headquarters (Central) and its under command Units assisted the campaign. During the campaign, the priority was accorded to the cleanliness and beautification of the city.
This campaign successfully ended amidst the appreciations of the public towards the Commander of the Army and military personnel for assisting such programmes in the hour need.
