Security Forces Headquarters (Central) commenced the first working day of the New Year, on 01 January 2020. With the participation of Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu, Commander Security Forces (Central), Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Headquarters a brief ceremony was held at the Headquarters premises. After hoisting the national flag and Security Forces (Central) flag, National Anthem and the Army song were sung and it was followed by two minutes observance of silence in remembering of fallen War Heroes. The state service commitment pledge was read by Major A M S Alahakoon of Sri Lanka National Guards. Following that, an all rank tea party was also taken place with the participation of the Commander SF (Central).
