Commander Security Force (Central), Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc made an official visit to the 12 Infantry Division based in Hambanthota on 05, 06 and 07 September 2023.
On the arrival at 12 Infantry Division, the Security Force Commander received a warm welcome with customary military formalities. The visiting commander was accompanied by General Officer Commanding of 12 Infantry Division, Major General CS Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc, and all the staff of division headquarters. Security Force Commander further interacted with the Brigade Commanders, Battalion Commanders, officers and troops during the field visits.
The senior officer paid homage to the prominent Buddhist temples in the area on 07 September 2023, and paid courtesy calls on the Chief Incumbent of Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharaya in Kataragama, Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminda Thera, and Chief Incumbent of Wedasitikanda Rajamaha Viharaya in Kataragama Venerable Heelle Gnanananda Thero.
