The 73rd Army Day Celebrations at Security Force Headquarters - Central was held on 10th October 2022 with the participation of Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Civil Staff serving at the Headquarters.
The ceremony commenced with hoisting of the Army Flag and singing Army Anthem took place followed by two-minute silence observed in honour of all Fallen War Heroes who made the supreme sacrifice on behalf of the motherland. Accordingly, Commander of the Army’s message on the special day was conveyed to all troops. Subsequently the parade, the tree planting event was conceded to mark the 73rd Anniversary. On the same occasion, Officers and Troops organized a Shramadana campaign at the Kahagolla Temple premises.
Anniversary celebrations concluded with the All Ranks lunch which was attended by Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin & Quartering, Senior Staff Officers, Officers and Troops.
