PROMPT ACTIONS OF CENTRAL TROOPS CONTROL WILDFIRE IN LUNUGALA AREA

The wildfire broke out in Lunugala area of Welimada Divisional Secretariat which is situated within the responsible area of Security Forces Headquarters (Central), was successfully controlled by the troops on 30 June 2019.

On the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, one officer and twenty one other ranks of Security Forces Headquarters (Central), rushed to the place to control the fire.
