Under the leadership of Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP, Commander Security Forces Central and Major General M P K L Amarasinghe WWV RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division and supervision of the Deputy General Officer Commanding Maj Gen K P P Karunanayake conduct a programme at temple premises

This noble initiative was conceptualized by the Deputy General Officer Commanding Maj Gen K P P Karunanayake and mr dammika donated a buddhas statue and all the nessary materials from piliyandala to Buddhist devotees in the Sisilasagama village area of Hambanthota to worship the Buddha daily at home.
