The Olympians Run 2018 was held in Kandy on 22 June 2018 by the Sri Lanka Olympians (SLO) in parallel with the celebrations of the International Olympic Day which falls on 23 June. In accordance with a request made by the organizing committee of this event from the Commander of the Army, 2 officers and 179 other ranks also participated in this representing the SL Army Athletic Team.
Security Forces (Central) provided the fullest contribution for this event since this was organized in the Kandy District which is under command to Security Forces (Central). Further, this event was organized from Bogambara Ground to Getambe Ground and all the participants were awarded a certificate by the Chief Minister of Central Province Hon. Sarath Ekanayake.
